Delhi Flood Alert: Yamuna Water Level Soars, Schools Shut in Civil Lines and Shahadra

The water level of the Yamuna River in Delhi has reached a critical point, hitting 208.48 meters as reported by the Central Water Commission at 8 am today. Due to this alarming rise, areas like Civil Lines and Shahadra are experiencing flood-like conditions, leading to the closure of 10 schools in Civil Lines and 7 schools in Shahadra. The heavy rainfall, coupled with the release of water from the Hathnikund Barrage, has exacerbated the situation, causing widespread water-logging and flooding in various parts of the city.
